As wrap-up movies to unceremoniously canceled television series go, Serenity succeeds pretty well at both resolution and self-contained story. It’s not perfect, and makes some questionable choices, but then again, who hasn’t? Plus! We reveal what series we’re doing next on Tuning In.

-It’s interesting, because for me there’s Serenity and then everything else. I came into the movie cold, never having seen a minute of Firefly. I loved it the first time, went back and watched the show and enjoyed it, but I’ve never revisited the show while I’ve watched the movie something like ten times. I recognize it has problems (as do most films), but I’ve always found it enjoyable.
